Dinner Options:
Latin is quite willing to host dinner for those coming in from out of town and for those who are in the area. Please leave your name below if you're interested in dinner and if you have a food preference. We have a number of good food options in the area that are within walking distance. We have Thai, Pizza (Chicago deep dish for those of you from out of town), real italian food establishments or Mexican. Of course there are a lot of choices in Chicago but these are a few in the area.

  • 21st Century Security in Schools: IP Surveillance & Access Control, Annunciators, Visitor Management, and Lockdown Procedures
  • Lessons learned from new construction: What we wish we could redo, and things we caught at the last second
  • The A/V enabled classrooms: bringing centrally managed A/V into every classroom
  • Webcasting Live Events (e.g. Graduation, Building Openings, etc.)
    • Veodia Video Streaming - I've never used this, but it may be a more robust, accessible way to stream events live. I posted a question regarding video streaming of events and the various technology solutions out there on the ISENet Ning community--I didn't receive any responses.
  • System Imaging on the Mac: Using Casper
  • Web content filtering: finding a balance
  • Mobile drives, sensitive data, and backup strategies: policies and practices
  • Migrating to hosted web apps and services: pros and cons
  • Are SMART Boards an outdated technology? If so, what is replacing them?
  • Keeping systems updated: distributing patches and updates (both PC and Mac)
  • Low Cost Laptops in K12 Education: What are your plans?
